Events   2010   April   Spencer County Historical Historian of the Year Banquet 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM, April 17, 2010 Spencer County Youth and Community Center Chrisney, IN The public is invited to the 22nd annual Spencer County Historical Society Historian of the Year Banquet on April 17, 2010 at the Spencer County Youth and Community Center at Chrisney, IN. This year's honoree is Steve Sisley who has been active in the society since 1986. Evelyn Swallow will be honored as the commemorative historian. Guest speaker will be retired educator Jane Ellen Boultinghouse who will speak about the Gentry family in Spencer County. She is a descendant of the Gentry family who were friends and neighbors of the Lincoln family. The dinner will begin at 6:00 PM and will be catered by The Rockport Inn.
