Patronville
The village of Patronville is a farming community situated about four miles from Rockport on State Road 161. Once a thriving community, Patronville supported two general stores, a post office, a blacksmith shop, a sawmill, a doctor and a veterinarian.
At one time, Patronville boasted a singing school where many a lively session was conducted when classes were called to order with the tuning fork in the capable hands of Uncle Billy Winkler. Several churches and schools were located near the town.
Today, the town has two truck terminals, two churches, a truck stop and a boat sales company, plus several residences.
